Homework#5

Identify Terms & Names : 
1) Scientific Revolution - was new world with new ideas that challenged the ancient thinkers and the church. 
2) Nicolaus Copernicus - was a Polish cleric and astronomer who in the 1500s, he became interested in an old greek idea that the sun stood at the center of the universe.
3) Heliocentric Theory - was a theory that the Earth and planets revolve around the Sun.
4) Johannes Kepler - was a mathematician and a assistant who concluded that mathematical laws govern planetary motion, one of the law is that planets orbit the sun elliptical instead of circles. 
5) Galileo  Galilei - discovered the law of pendulum due to the error of Aristotle theory of an object heavy will fall faster than a lighter one. He tested the theory and found out that both object fell at the same speed.
6) Scientific method- A logical procedure for acquiring and testing ideas.
7) Francis Bacon - English political and a writer, who believed if better understanding of the world scientist will get practical knowledge that would improve humans life's.
8) René Descartes - a thinker who linked algebra and geometry to create analytical geometry. It became a new tool for research.
9) Isaac Newton - a English scientist who brought together the ideas of Galileo, Kepler, and Copernicus into a single theory of motion. 
Taking Notes : 
1) Challenged the people beliefs and the church.
2) Scientists began creating new tools to make observations.
3) It brought questions that led to think about the natural world.
4) Many discoveries also led to scientific revolution with some new circumstance.
